Testing on a real iPhone or iPad
Devices can’t be cabled to our Macs; use simulators here and TestFlight for real hardware.
Your Mac is in our rack in Sydney, so you can’t plug an iPhone into it, and Xcode’s wireless debugging only finds devices on the same local network as the Mac.
- Simulators cover most day-to-day building and testing: Build and test from the command line.
- Real hardware: build and upload from your RunMac to TestFlight, then install the build on your own devices with the TestFlight app. fastlane automates the upload.
